BASALT PIPE

CHARACTERISTICS

The Basalt Uzbekistan Group of Companies is specialized in manufacturing pipes and fittings using a continuous winding technique with basalt fibre on a moving mandrel. This includes products intended for primary drinking water supply pipelines and sewage systems.

The manufacture of basalt pipes through the method of continuously feeding materials onto a moving conveyor represents the most advanced technology in producing basalt composite pipes. This technique enables ongoing reinforcement of basalt fibre around the entire circumference.

The primary load on pipes operating under pressure, as well as on underground pipelines, is applied in the radial direction. Thus, the simultaneous reinforcement with continuous and chopped basalt fibres is the only method that can both improve the product’s physical and mechanical properties and reduce costs.

Basalt pipes from Basalt Uzbekistan are created using a unique method that involves continuously winding basalt fibre onto a moving mandrel. This technique enables continuous reinforcement of basalt fibre around the entire circumference, resulting in strong basalt pipes.

Our basalt pipes are used in the following areas:

  1. Oil and gas industry;
  2. Construction;
  3. Liquid transportation;
  4. Agriculture;
  5. Chemical industry;
  6. Marine industry.

Basalt pipes offer several benefits, including:

– Simple and easy installation;

– Lightweight (7-8 times lighter than steel pipes);

– Corrosion resistance;

– Temperature resistance;

– High strength;

– Lower cost compared to steel;

– Usable in any environment;

– Environmentally friendly.

Composite pipes are used in the following industries and areas:

  • Water supply and sewage systems. Composite pipes are employed for the transportation of drinking water, industrial wastewater, and domestic sewage. They exhibit excellent corrosion and chemical resistance.
  • Oil and gas pipelines. Composite pipes are used for the transportation of oil, gas, and petroleum products. They possess high strength and resistance to hydrocarbons.
  • Chemical industry. Composite pipes are used to transport aggressive chemicals, as their polymer matrices demonstrate strong chemical resistance.
  • Electrical engineering: The insulating properties of composite pipes are applied for electrical purposes, such as cable ducts.
  • Agriculture: Composite pipes are used for irrigation, transporting fertilizers, managing manure evacuation, etc.
  • Industrial equipment: Composite pipes are used in machinery for food processing, as well as in the paper and textile industries.
  • Marine industry: Composite pipes are utilized in offshore oil and gas production equipment because of their high corrosion resistance.
