BASALT FABRIC

Basalt fabric is a cutting-edge material made from basalt fiber, which is derived from natural basalt.

Basalt rock is melted at high temperatures (around 1,400–1,600°C) and then extruded to form continuous fibers. These fibers are then woven or knitted into fabrics.

Basalt fabric is widely used in construction, automotive, aerospace, electronics, shipbuilding and many other fields.

Basalt fabric is widely used in the following areas:

  • Construction: Utilized as a reinforcement material to safeguard buildings against earthquakes.
  • Automotive industry: Used to manufacture lightweight and robust composites for vehicle bodies and components.
  • Shipbuilding: Used to manufacture lightweight and resilient materials for yachts and other marine vessels.
  • Aerospace industry: Utilized in the manufacturing of components for aircraft and spacecraft.
  • Repair work: Used in the repair of concrete and brick structures.
